“Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.”
this verse really hit me hard since I've been struggling with bulimia for over a year and it has ruined me completly to the point where I can't recognize myself. it has made me feel like the food has complete control over me but Jesus is saying:food isn't the ultimate thing; I am.
constant cylce of food and satisfaction from purging is tied to perishable food but Christ offers something deeper(a nourishment that heals,not harms)
I don't want to keep chasing after that "feeling" that will one day kill me. what I truly need is that satisfaction and nourishment only God can give me through Jesus.
